Meet Your Host
Hi, I’m Betsy, founder of The Curated Host. Before entering the world of short-term rentals, I spent years working as a dental hygienist, where attention to detail, communication and caring for people became second nature. Over time, that same passion for hospitality and creating meaningful experiences led me into boutique short-term rental hosting.
In 2023, my partner and I purchased and renovated an old motel in Maggie Valley, NC, transforming it into a boutique Airbnb property with nine individual units. My focus was on guest management, operations and thoughtfully designing each space with the guest in mind.
Through that experience, I saw firsthand how much consistency, presentation and attention to detail shape reviews and overall success. What began as a hands-on hospitality project eventually became The Curated Host.

Thoughtful hosting starts with intention. My approach focuses on creating stays that feel seamless, welcoming and consistently well cared for, with an emphasis on the details that shape the overall guest experience.
